Guten tag and wilkommen to the second night of Gamescom 2022! This is Joe calling. I’ll be bringing you the latest updates straight from Cologne, and with more than 40 games set to showcase, we could be in for a treat. So grab some snacks, get comfy and let’s hope we don’t end up with nil points.
And that's it for Future Games Show 2022! I hope you've enjoyed it. This is Joe signing off.
Okay yeah, Off the Grid looks pretty damn impressive!
And we round off the show with a look at Off the Grid; an upcoming Cyberpunk shooter from District 9 director, Neil Bloomkamp. Even though it's a cutscene, I'm struggling to tell if they're using real actors or CGI. Impressive.
That was Bloober Team's upcoming game, Layers of Fears (worst title ever) coming to Xbox and PC in 2023.
Lightyear Frontier, the space-mech farming sim (obviously) is back with a first look at early gameplay footage. Out in Spring 2023, I'm here for the chill vibes and colourful art style.
So we're in the final throws of the show now and I'm wondering if we'll go out with a bang?
As a fan of the post-apocalyptic genre, this next game has tickled my pickle. It looks to be an open-world survival game with base-building, crafting and guns. Rooted is coming soon to PC.
An immersive horror sim is up next, giving me big Control vibes. SCP Secret Lies is coming soon!
A Union flag is on screen - Brexit the game? No, they've just quoted Wilfred Owen. Looks like a WWI game from the makers of Command & Conquer. The Great War: Western Front is coming to PC in 2023.
Now we're onto the 'Ones to Watch' section which is a super fast series of trailers for a multitude of games releasing next year (sorry, my typing speed isn't what it used to be).
